The famous pyramids and ball courts of Monte Alban near Oaxaca City remind one of the Zapotecs who built it, and the Mixtecs who conquered it. From the Zapotecs came the Chatinos, who, along with the other mentioned tribal groups, densely inhabit our reachable area.
