Licensed Nursing School Coming!

For many years, we have desired to have a formal training program for those who feel called to serve in the area of health care in their villages. We now see that desire coming to fruition! We are in the planning phase now of establishing a university level Licensed Nursing School on the Roca Blanca Mission Base campus! The degree will be equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and on passing their exam they become a Registered Nurse.

We are working with a curriculum specialist to develop the curriculum in line with the Mexican government’s requirements. And we have the building for the school almost completed – only lacking the furnishing and equipping of the classrooms and laboratory. There may be some delay as the government permits do not usually come quickly in Mexico.

Everything is a process, sometimes a long one. But please pray and believe with us for this process to be expedited so that we can receive students for September of 2027. That is our target date!

On the right are some photos, one of the Nursing School building from the back. It occupies a large portion of the second story of the Trade School. The second photo is of Milca Alavez, a registered Nurse, who works in the Corban Clinic, demonstrating and teaching CPR. She is helping with the planning and curriculum for the Nursing School program, with our Clinic doctor, Enver Velásco and his wife, Karen Raymundo, overseeing and directing.

If you’re interested in knowing more about these projects, helping toward their completion, or helping furnish it with medical furniture and equipment, then please contact us by means of the Contact link above. We would be honored by your participation for the ever-present medical needs and expanding training needs of our region!
